Polyvore
So, Polyvore... I absolutely LOVE IT!! For those of you who have never heard of Polyvore, it is a website (founded in 2007) where you can shop, and style your own outfits, beauty products and home decor. Isn't that amazing?! The pieces you style together can be purchased or you can just share them on your Polyvore profile and social media sites.
Polyvore simplifies online shopping by bringing together all the stores in one convenient place. Then, they curate it all into a personalized boutique just for you, making it even easier to discover and shop for looks you love. On the site you can also get styling tips on how to mix and match items from your own closet, so you don't have to buy anything if you don't want to.
On the social and sharing side of Polyvore, users can connect in ways similar to most social networks. They can follow one another, and "like" each other's images. And of course they can share items and sets they've saved to Polyvore on other social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and others.

From time to time Polyvore will have contests that you can enter on the site. The contests always have a theme and lots of users participate. Right now they have three contest going which are "Top 5 Picks for Summer", "Saddle Up", and "Cutout Skater Dress". I entered them all. Wish me luck :) You don't win anything tangible (a virtual trophy) but it is good to get your work liked and noticed.
