Oh Baby!

Babies... don't you just love them? Well, preparing for them can be a hard and even expensive task. I came across a blog called The Savvy Bump with a few baby registry sites that I thought were pretty cool. I wish I had knew of some of these when I had my little one... Oh well, there's always next time. So here I've posted a list of the top 5 baby registry sites along with their benefits from The Savvy Bump.

1. Target Baby Registry

Benefits: Target is a very convenient place to have a baby registry because many of your friends and family members shop there anyway. There are touch-screen kiosks in stores that make it easy to get your registry started or you can start one online. You can also keep your baby registry unlisted so only the people you choose can see it.

Target Baby Registry Perks: Target has Welcome Gifts available at their customer service desks for everyone starting a baby registry. You’ll find $60 in coupons and free samples (bottle and pacifier) in your gift bag! You’ll also receive a 15% off completion coupon for use in stores and a 15% off code for online shopping 4-6 weeks before your baby shower date. You can use these coupons one time each to buy remaining items on your registry. You can start a registry right here and then go pick up your free gift.

2. Babies “R” Us Registry

Benefits: Babies “R” Us has a great selection because it’s a store dedicated solely to babies and because of this, they are experts at the entire process. Plus, this is a very popular store for friends and family to shop at for baby shower gifts.

BRU Baby Registry Perks:: Babies “R” Us has recently changed their baby registry to include a program called Endless Earnings. Now you can get up to 10% back on registry purchases, even your own! Don’t forget that they will price match Amazon which means you’ll always get the best price plus up to 10% back!

3. Amazon Baby Registry

Benefits: Amazon is the easiest place to create an online registry if you don’t want to go into stores and use the scanner. Amazon offers a Universal Registry which means you can add items from any site to your Amazon Baby Registry with a special “Add to Registry” button.

Amazon Baby Registry Perks: Amazon will give you an automatic 10% off completion discount which you’ll be able to view 30 days before your baby shower date. Even better, Amazon Mom members now get a 15% off completion discount which is a fantastic deal! Learn more about Amazon Mom here.

Overall, creating an Amazon baby registry will save you the most money because their prices on baby items are often the lowest.

4. Kohl’s “Little Ones” Registry

Benefits: Kohl’s might not be as well known for their baby registry but their customer service and return policy is excellent which makes it a great place to create a registry. Plus, your friends and family will appreciate shopping there for a gift because they always have great coupons and deals.

Kohl’s Baby Registry Perks: Kohl’s will email you a 15% off completion coupon just before your due date so that you can purchase items remaining on your baby registry. This coupon is valid until 3 months after your due date. Kohl’s will now give your guests an extra 20% off their in-store purchase of $100 or more. Just let your baby shower hostess know about this coupon so she can pass it on to any guests who inquire about your baby registry.

5. Walmart Baby Registry

Benefits: Walmart is also a convenient place for your friends and family to check on your baby registry and shop for gifts because they’re probably going to be there at some point anyway.

Walmart Baby Registry Perks: Walmart also has a “Thank You Tracker” that tracks Walmart.com registry purchases and allows you to click “note sent” when you have sent a thank you note. There is no completion coupon available at this time.
